My name is Myrthe Apeldoorn, and I am the founder of Mugs and Myths. In 2013, I graduated as a goldsmith from the vocational school in Schoonhoven. Looking for more depth in my work as a goldsmith, I began studying jewelry design at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2018. After successfully completing this program, I became curious about other branches of design and different materials, which led me to start studying Product Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy. During this course, I felt a strong attraction to ceramics and glass. In 2022, I graduated from the academy and immediately started my own company, Mugs and Myths. At Mugs and Myths, the primary material is clay, but glass and precious metals are also used.
Mugs and Myths is located in Nieuwe Wetering, The Netherlands.
